My Talking Book 

Hundreds of families are receiving news of an autism diagnosis every day. Autism is a developmental disability that significantly affects three areas: communication (verbal and non-verbal), social interaction and behaviour.An autistic child who is non-verbal will either take your hand and pull you to show his needs. Some will point to show you what they want, while others will have a behavioural meltdown, because you do not understand their needs. When there is a lack of speech, there will also be a lack of understanding.The aim of this book is to help a non-verbal person to make his or her needs known by showing what they want. When making use of this book the person who is non-verbal will realize that by showing his or her need, there will be a response and understanding."Tell me and I forget.Show me and I remember.Involve me and I learn."
